Hi, I am a professional musician, but these days I work at a homeless charity in Canning Town, trying to motivate all comers into picking up, and getting something out of any kind of musical instrument, but usually piano or guitar or voice..

My background with cars spans back across the decades, starting at age 18 with an old Daimler v8 (MK 2 shape)
Which I actually learned to drive in!

Right through from three rover v8's, one V12. XJS, one Warburg! (Seriously)' one rolls Royce silver spirit 2, one jaguar xk8' one disco, and each past model of the full size Range Rover. Typically always well used, but usually with a solid decent history.

Most recently I purchased an early l322 and set about fitting various items such as an aftermarket touch screen GPS system (which meant removing all the old amps and receivers etc). Etc, + quite a bit of rewiring / attaching the new built in amp on the new system to my existing 12 or so speaker / tweeter system.

I have most recently done a full front end face lift to the 2010 - 2012 Autobiography style model.

(This is the one with two grilles not simply the chrome bar across the bottom section)

Unfortunately I carried this out before coming across this great site.. I am humbled at some members efforts to make life easier for others.
To summarise, I am really happy with the result of my latest project and have learned a lot in terms of the hands on aspect
Of sourcing and modifying / fitting all the bits together.

A warning though , I am probably not the best person to be influenced by, because I am always looking to get away with the minimum input to achieve the maximum effect.. But somehow it all works out.. Well almost always!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Td6 Zambezi Silver

Hi, really liking this great site, so much info on here. I'm looking to buy a FF, to pull our big 2200 kgs TA tin tent.
Many years ago had a P38, early one, loved it couldn't really afford that and kids also, so it had to go. hope to be getting a good one, still enjoy doing small jobs, and getting my hands dirty.

Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Java Black
New FFRR owner

Hi, I have just picked up a 03 black V8 autobiography yesterday. It has 113k on it with fsh.
I would ike to say proud owner in the title but I bought it with faults & a few more I don't know about developed on the long drive home.

You will see me over in the technical section trying to diagnose & get to know the usual problems. Shocked

2003 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue

gday mates.

just bought a 03 HSE in adriatic blue, my first. its cosmetically ugly. paint is sun damaged, but its straight with only small ding, its nothing. few broken interior bits which need fixing, nothing major but there is a few more than i expected! side steps are broken, will probably take them off and not replace them, tint is going bad and will be replaced with the good 3m stuff, hoodlining needs replacing. Laughing wood finish has faded, it needs a few $$ spent.

i paid a fairly low price for it, so its not a problem, i bought it unseen Shocked because it had full service history and lots of dealer receipts over the last 2 years for work done and not been used for towing, had a x5 once that had and never again. i think i paid a bit much all things considered but thats what you get when you dont inspect so im cool. but mechanically it seems good. absolutely everything works, it drives very smooth and straight, engine sounds correct, strong and pulls hard.

after reading the forum i half expected the transmission to blow when i drove it for the first time. haha. but no Thumbs Up

bought a iid tool. ill do the work if its labour intensive. but send it out for the basic stuff.

shes going for a full respray, same colour, few extra coats of clear to show off. off to the painters as soon as my mate calls me, then off the specialist for a full service and see if anything needs attention.

have 70% of the genuine parts for a 2012 facelift, just need a bumper (i do have the front bumper but its damaged, going to see if it can be repaired). and a left headlight, also bought all the electronic parts from powerful uk for the front and rear lights, (genuine rear lights are coming from ebay). Got new badging to fit after the respray, went with chrome, wanted titanium but it was sold out, hope chrome doesnt look awful,

thinking about getting the front bar in this kit from alibaba, the whole kit is cheap. excludes lights. ive used alibaba in the past with success.

http://4x4carbest.en.alibaba.com/product/6...;edm_ver=e

ill take before photos and post them up with the after respray in a few weeks. its super ugly right now. Very Happy but just what i wanted, ill enjoy bringing her back. here she is sitting on 22inch stormers and what i suspect are the bumpstops before the suspension was fixed before i got it.

Hello All,

I've just signed up, and looking forward to wasting a few hours on work whilst I'm on here.

I bought an l322 - 2004 4.4 V8 in December last year, and am looking forward to learning from you all, with experiences good and bad.

Cheers

Portugal

Hi There,

My Name is Nuno Pinto and im from Portugal. Im currently a proud owner of a 1997 RR P38A.

Im seeking to transition to something bigger and better, and more up to date. So i'm on the lookout for a 2003-2005 RR L322 model.

Here in Portugal taxes on Cars make models after 2006 very prohibitive as they are very expensive even used.

Hopefully here i will find all the answers i need to make an informed decision..

Regards

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover HSE Td6 Buckingham Blue

Hi all
Just a quick intro .
Bought my first RR , bottled it and went for diesel ! Td6
Looking at various posts the general question asked is - whats wrong with it so far ?
Well .... poor reverse sensors , I cant seem to code the remote key ( only have 1 unfortunately ) , changed the battery and tried coding procedure to no avail - will keep trying .
Front fog lights don't work .
Otherwise o.k ( probably jinxed it now )
cheers Barwik
