mine sounds sometimes like a Diesel too but it is out of LR waranty All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Even out of warranty, if it's a recall it should be done free of charge. |

I agree. I just purchased 2011 RR supercharged with 67000 miles,I noticed the noise at startup. I had it inspect a Land Rover dealer. They confirmed the supercharger tensioner spring rattle. That's fixed, now the chain tensioner is next? I wonder if its worth the expense or just live with it? Anyone else with the same problems? I just fixed mine. Timing chain tool set for sale. PM me. Try running on Super unleaded as this does make a difference too. |

Mine went back in and they traced a little rattling to the supercharger pulleys that apparently were not lined up 100% which they have to be according to the mechanic. If they are off just slightly it will make a rattle. I also use 91 octane premium Non-ethanol which we are fortunate enough to have available here. Car runs so much better with it. |
