Active Locking Rear Differential

How can you tell if you have a locking rear diff? My MY12 4.4TDV8 shows two padlock symbols in the central screen off-road vehicle information display; one on the transfer box, and one on the rear diff, so does this mean one is fitted or is it generic?

Mine doesn't have one, and if you look at the rear diff there are no wires going to it. So i would think a quick look under the back end would confirm it, if the rear diff has wiring going to it then it's an active one.

Bizarrely enough there is no reference at all to the off road display, and on how to read the wheel position display, etc.

That's what I was after! I was clearly using the wrong search words. Many thanks.
