Fridge Cubby or not?

Does a 2011 4.4 VSE have a cubby fridge as standard?

The reason I ask is that the top tray in the cubby gets very cold so my phone placed in the middle top tray is a block of ice but the cubby space underneath does not seem to get that cold. There are some vent holes at the base of the cubby local to the USB input area but it has dawned on me I don't actually know if its a fridge!!

If it is a fridge, do they have to be turned on or is it something which is constantly on?

My 2004 is an airconditioned cubby box (like many cars have airconditioned glove boxes) but it's not insulated as a fridge per se

A lot of cubbies have a hole joining the box to the vents that run to the rear seats, so get a little bit of the air going from the vents there. If the rear vents are set cold, then the cubby cold. If set hot, then cubby warmed iirc. V8 or else ...
