United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver
Latest news on upgrade

I've just returned from the stealer, having taken my MY2010 vogue in for map upgrade. This is the story:
" We have been unable to update the map sir, as Navteq have told us there is no newer map that the one you have (01052009), and anyway there is no way currently available to load the new one"

Frankly I don't believe that. I'm sure that the Service Manager wasn't gratuitously fibbing, but I also think that somewhere along the line there is a misunderstanding.

Has anybody else had this story or for that matter been able to upgrade their mapping system on HDD?

I have had a second map ( eastern Europe ) installed in my D4 .

So I have standard western map aswell as the eastern European map .

It took some time to arrange as they had never been asked to do this before . I can select either map from the nav setting menu.

The updates are similar ... But there are none for the European Market yet ( there's a couple for Russia and somewere else - I need to check )

LR have all the maps already ... They have to purchase a code from nevteq to be able to upload to your car .

I have also removed the hard drive from the touch screen ... But am unable to see / read anything on there .

I do have a second hard drive and am going to clone that ( hopefully it will copy )

Won't know if the second map will work until next week ... But in the car config file it is listed as having 2 maps ( there is provision for about 10 maps )

Hope this helps

Another revival of an old thread......

I have a 2011.5, I don't know what date my maps are but presumably the latest L405's don't still use the map set that I have so there must be an update available by now. 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ
