Changed FSR - 2 bits left over???

Finally got round to changing the failed FSR today, and as soon as I removed the black trim from under the pedals area (the bit with the small footwell light in it), 2 bits dropped out. 1 was a cream plastic piece, half circle shaped (imagine cutting a toilet roll centre from one end to the other), and the other part was a threaded bit of stud, about 6" long? Couldnt see where they were from, any ideas guys?

Also, as soon as I removed the under trim, a small motor type thing hung down by some wires, so Ive just tucked it back under there once I put it all back together. The plastic bit I mentioned earlier looked as though it could of fitted around the motor

Any ideas people?

Presumably your reach and tilt motors for the steering wheel don't work? John

Hi guys

Stan - neither of my spare parts are on any of those how to guides Im afraid, the bits seemed to come from up under the steering wheel area?

Weegie - I'll be honest my friend, I have no idea as never use any of those adjustments for the steering wheel, I''ll try it first thing in the morning when the boss (mrs) is back

It's just that your description of the "half toilet roll" sounds like the plastic bit on the reach motor which is prone to failure. John

This is the part, and other than the lift/tilt not working, is it a problem not getting it fixed just yet?

That's the part. http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic4144.h...or+plastic third post
It is pretty common and, provided the wheel isn't flopping about, many live with it. My tilt motor isn't working so I've just got it to the position that suits and left it. Might get round to fitting another motor if I can get one cheap enough. John

Yes, and the bit of stud I have is the part going into the reach motor too. Steering position is fine, and doesnt move so I'll live with it for now. Do you know if its an easy fix, or a pain in the @ss?

Forgot to add, my steering column has made a clicking sound for a year or so now when driving slowly around car parks etc, when its on almost full lock, could this be something to do with it?

Thanks again

If you do a search there are some threads on the subject. Not sure whether there's a work round or not. John
