Well, I think not, unless my numbers come up in the lottery!

Like the OP, I sometimes feel a bit guilty about all the cash sitting in my L405, especially as I don't drive it every day or commute in it.

Must admit I'm quite pleased to hear how much you got for trade in!

How does the BMW feel in comparison? I bet the sat nav / infotainment is a welcome step up...? 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I thought the trade in was very good too. I had enquired on a couple of other cars, one was a new Q7 and another was a new Cayenne, and the bids ranged from £69500 - £72000. Porsche offered £72 and I was tempted by the Cayenne, but I was not saving myself enough money to justify the change and the space in the back of the Cayenne was disappointing.

I haven't driven the X5 much, its my wife car really, I did drive it from the dealership when I collected it though. It is impressive, build quality is right up there and probably beats LR, it feels more sporty (and smaller!). The technology is light years ahead of LR. Professional navigation and the iDrive interface shames LR and puts into context just how far behind JLR is in their technology. Having said that, I haven't seen the latest MY16 changes - but truth be known, I don't really like touch screen interfaces. 2019 SDV8 Autobiography in Byron Blue

Did your L405 have the fbh problem or had it been sorted?
I'm thinking of going to have a test drive in it.

fbh = fuel burning heater

Did you have a separate key fob thing to pre-heat the car ?

Yes there was a little black fob. Never used it and didn't know what it was for, I did ask, but was never bothered with it. 2019 SDV8 Autobiography in Byron Blue

Really! Best feature on the car. Warms it up before you get in on a cold morning.

Remote FBH is fantastic, had it also on my previous RRS.

Wouldn't buy a LR without it. Thumbs Up 2014 SDV8 Autobiography Cool
