Battery cable size?

Hi Folks.

After purchasing a new Bosch S5 020 battery I found although it fit into the well easily
enough I couldn't fit the positive cable due to the fuse being located down the side of
the battery and not having enough space. I did manage to get running using a temporary
connection and a 1ft length of cable but im not 100% happy with it due to the cable size being a smaller diameter
than the terminal cable fitted to the car. Anyone here know what size cable is used so I can
Purchase a piece? Or even better where I can get some with a post connection at 1 end and a flat bolt on type one at the
other end?
Regards
Gary

There seem to be 2 sizes of s5 - my original one fitted OK - eventually - but when it packed up 3 years later, the warranty replacement one wouldn't go in as it was fractionally longer.

I followed some advice on here & trimmed the 'foot' on the battery off with a hacksaw and it left just enough room Thumbs Up

An extra bit of cable should work OK - photo on this thread with some well placed cable ties Thumbs Up

Thanks guys. Yeah I trimmed off the foot and back corner but I was still 10mm away from getting the positive terminal on? Like I say I did get going but not happy with the cable size I got local. I will have a look at the wiring products site.
Cheers
Gary

Mine was pretty snug when I did it - I had to get a crow bar in there to push the battery to the outside as I fed the fuse back into place

Yes I did try with my pry bars but even then there was no way it would go. Still 10mm out.
Frustrating. Battery seems great though.
