Any winter tips?

Ok - my first winter with The FF is fast approaching and seeing as we haven't had a bad one for a while, this one will probably be a monster. Mine is kept on the drive next to my house and I wondered if the were any special measures I should take once the white stuff starts coating the land. I dont mean driving in general, just if there is anything that needs special attention to keep everything reliable(!) QUID FACIUM TIBI

If you have a battery charger and it's going to be sat for a few days, think about having it on charge. Not all, but some FF do tend to sulk during the colder periods and it's not unusual to have a non starter ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I use the Wickes Silicone Lubricant which works well

Also make sure you have some decent low temperature screen wash - I managed to have mine freeze one day and had to keep stopping to put water onto the windscreen - never again.

In my case, fix the heater fan.

Take a small trip to Norway or Sweden and get them to get your car ready. They know what to do. Have a look at Edfors his posts on his misses FFRR, that is how you treat a car properly..................... MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Well, kind of, but with no fan it's pointless. And I've discovered that turning the seat heater on also activates the heating, and I'm rather concerned about my new FSR burning out. Anyway, sorry for thread hijack.

Coolant change and flush if not done within the last 5 years, and if your M&S rated tyres are under 4mm maybe time to get a new set of rubber.
Pack some water bottles, warm jacket and gloves in the car incase the worst happens and some pieces of old carpet as well for grip should you get stuck and a shovel Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I think you're wrong actually.

I've just come back to a RR and all the times I have had 4x4 (RR, Ford Zephyr Mk4 and Jeep GC) we have had a vry mild winter - it's just a way of preventing me having fun or looking superior as I drive past...

No tips required. You have a FFRR, which pretty much guarantees an Indian Summer all through the British Winter Thumbs Up

Now, if you hadn't bought the thing............ Laughing Laughing
