i've been told its via a firewire connection via a socket just to the right of the glovebox fusebox.. ... - .- -.

Hmm not sure. Didn't see a connector when I had the glovebox apart the other day. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐๐

its also been suggested that because the 2010-2012 nav and the l405 nav is so similar that nav directions could be shown in the centre of the speedo dash like the l405..
