Drivers heated seat issue...

Hi people,
So from a quick google search I'm guessing this is a common issue but thought I'd ask on here to see what you guys think...

Recently got myself my first Range Rover (2004 td6) and am working my way through the few minor problems it has. One issue is the drivers heated seat does not work, apparently it started playing up shortly before I purchased it. When I press the button the lights come on but after just a few seconds they go out.
Where do I start, is it something I can tackle myself (I'm fairly hands on with cars) or is it going to be a major drama to sort ???

Thanks and look forward to your help and advice

Matt.

Try checking the connection under the seat first. With all the moving back and forward, the wire sometimes gets caught and chafes or provides a poor link.

If not connections then common issue is the heater element breaking/becoming disconnected.

Have a look at this thread http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic41063.html

You may not have exactly the same seats as mine is a 2006 AB but the principles are the same.

Fantastic thread chap Thumbs Up

Certainly not a quick and simple fix, let's hope the 'plug wiggle' does the job for me Neutral
