Lucky, did you change the cable and did it sort out the squeak? Lubrication worked for around a month on mine but it's back with a vengeance Sad African Bush Junkie ... in London!

Yes I replaced both cables and had the joy of a squeak free car for all of about a week Big Cry

I can only think it is one of the bushes but the problem is which one??

I have figured out that if you do an emergency stop the squeak goes away for a few days Shocked Range Rover Autobiography 5.0SC

My local mechanic chappie is insistent it isn't the bushes and that it's an actual suspension component that's on the way out ... Not sure I believe him. May change bushes as cheaper option and see what happens. Will keep you posted. African Bush Junkie ... in London!

My left rear damper is making a terrible creaking/squeaking noise . I sprayed wd40 and armour all up it , but I think it has a dust seal . Do I have to depressurize the airbag to remove the damper? 2004 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Are you sure it isn't the rose bushes squeaking?

Well I was underneath it while my father was pressing down on the tailgate .I am going leave it a while to see if the WD40 will work in .I am pretty sure it is the damper. 2004 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Update.

Changed the upper hub bushes and the squeak is gone ... The mechanic had initially suggested that the suspension itself may need replacing ... thank God for this forum! African Bush Junkie ... in London!

Can someone please specify which parts should be replaced?

As far as I get I have to change 5K792B (RBK500220) and 5K792A (RHF000260)?

What about 5A638A (RGX000080), 5A638B (RGX000071) and 5A638C (RGX000060)? Are they a potential problem? Is it good to change them all?

This is quite detailed pictire below with detail numbers. I have identified part numbers below in brackets.

That's beyond my limited awareness I am afraid but there is an excellent how-to in the Wiki here ...

Thank you for the link.
Looks like he is only changed RBK500220 RHF000260.
Very useful he mentions bolt, washer and nut part numbers.
