This debate on led lights is a bit confusing but at work all the units and trailers run on led lights and only the headlights use normal lights hid etc
So let's put that in the mix better to be seen Thumbs Up

To be fair there should not be much debate.. just facts. If the units are factory fit LED OR they have LED light units (not bulbs) then all is fine.. Otherwise they are not. Now that does not mean that people don't do it.. the same as doing over 70 on the motorway!

Just to be clear I am not equating having LEDs to speeding.. but it is another one where 'everyone does it' but that does not mean it is correct.

As an aside, there is absolutely 0% chance of an Insurer not paying your claim as a result of having LED's in, unless they materially impacted the incident, for example the third party were so dazzled by your modded lights that they drove into you. Outside of that daft scenario, they just wouldn't do it.

Lights look good though, might do my puddle lights etc soon Thumbs Up

I would hope that was the case.. but never quite trust these things.. if someone didn't see you could they claim the car was not roadworthy due to incorrect lights?

Anyway I don't have to worry about that very slim chance.

Despite what you may be thinking I do not disagree..

Looks very good!

Out of interest (and hopefully not starting another controversy).. What you got in the main beam lights?

Absolutely, and I completely get your point. It's similar to discussions I've seen re blanking the EGR, technically it's a fail, but realistically it never get's picked up and everyone does it, I know the point you're making and don't disagree.

In terms of the insurance aspect, as the Claims Governance Manager for a massive insurer I see all the claim repudations we make, as well as everything that gets referred to the FOS, so I'll back myself on this one Laughing
