Hi all


need some advice, i have a range rover 2006 Vogue se when i drop it into reverse the camera don't come on, also i had a icon on my screen for the tv and rear headrest controls they have disappeared too..

can anybody help on this topic?

Yes try to look on the net but no joy...

i have been told that it may need to be programed back up to the car not sure if thats true but the range rover dealer say they would need it for a few days, they charge about £150 an hour i think thought i try to ask about first to see if its a simple thing to do to get it working again.. Notts

it dont really tell me much about my issue as mine dont work.. if i co into diagnose moe via the screen it shows the camera working, the self test comes up with no tv signal.. if you go to the test moe it come up with tv,phone,rse,dvd not fitted..

ive just done the self test on mine and the camera doesnt come on when you select reverse, but in the self test mode it shows the reverse camera working but below it says car configurator not fitted .there is a companion camera shown as fitted and it says configurator fitted ? do i need to plug in computer to get it configurated

Hi got the same problem

i have been told by the range rover dealer it has to be reprogrammed in again..


but dealers always say one thing and then it ends up to be something else..


mine is going in to range rover end of this month.. so if you don't sort yours out by then ill let you know how i get on...

does the whole rear cam screen disapeared?

When I put into reserve it comes the screen up. But! this screen is black!! sometimes there is a picture coming on.. But most time its black. Any ideas how to dismantle everything and check connections?!

Hi mine don't work at all it only works in diagnose mode..

if i was you check the rear camera first at the boot end.. to check behind the head-unit you have to remove alot, your side heater vents all the screws that you see on the top, there 2 screws under the heater vents, then you have to pull the dash cover towards the back of the car and lift up.. when you remove that you have about 6 screws that hold the head-unit in...

After approx 9 months of an intermitant black screen it finally works. Had the wiring checked by LR during a service (at no charge!), they diagonsed the camera module. Ordered one in the UK, delivered to a mate. Visited last friday, rear-spolier off un-plug old one - place new one and hey hey it works. Took the ribbing about not bothering to look behind when reversing etc etc.
Also discovered that my high-level brake light had 'unglued' - will replace it when he visits over here!.

on mine it works now i had the software update done, my head-unit forgot it had a rear view camera just got the car back today,
