I really struggle to produce anything usable in ABS. PLA seems to be fairly consistent with the settings I now use on my Creality but I just cannot for the life of me make anything out of ABS that doesn't end up in the recycling Big Cry

I'm also a complete novice at CAD so generally beg and plead for people to design things for me so I can print them.
Don't suppose you'd be able to help me Question Smile

I can certainly design! I haven't tried ABS just yet, my own printer is an Ender 3 Pro so I'm building an enclosure for it before trying ABS. I've done some prints with PETG which is fiddly but works okay.

There's not really a limit to 3d printing sizes - there are houses being built with concrete 'filament' and just a couple of months ago, not long before lockdown, I saw a very clever setup at UCLan in Preston, where the print head is suspended off a number of tensioned ropes attached to pulleys, suspended from the ceiling. That could produce something like 3mx3mx3m, albeit slowly!

That looks quick and easy!

Any chance you could extract the remains of it, to see how it attaches to the shelf? It may be a part that's on the shelf for a couple of quid, but if not, I'll happily make some of those.

Yes, those parcel shelf plastic pins you can (or could) get as genuine parts really easily and cheaply - I had to replace some of mine when I bought the truck.

Depending on how much you have left to grab with pliers, they can be easy or hard to extract. Mine came to me with basically nothing sticking out, so I ended up using a drill to drill out the centre, and then remove. That made it super easy!

Certainly! I'd make those from PETG which is a little bit 'softer' and often described as unbreakable, but with good thermal stability for a car interior.

£3 each plus postage would probably cover making those, based on, by the sounds of it, plenty of people needing them!

I'll send you a PM about measurements Smile

Just a though warninglight there is some sort of rule about commercial activity on the forum, you might like to check with the powers that be

I have a 2010 L322, facelift

What I would really love is a tray that holds a cordless phone charger and sit in the top of the centre cubby hole (the main one with the usb port / ipod socket etc) that would take an iphone 11. Certainly pay for that!

I like that idea! Could you send me a photo of the area you mean?

I'll have a look for the forum policy on commercial activity. Smile
