AC fuse question

Its been low down the list of things to look at on my Range as it does not bother me but I was told my fan was not working when i had my AC filled a good while back. While looking at another thread I spotted the advise to check Fuse 12 and Fuse 34 in the front. I did and found they are linked with a 10amp inline fuse.

Anyone know the purpose of this and have they seen it before?

Never seen that done before. To me it's possible that the position Fuse 12 goes in is in some way damaged / unusable and someone in their wisdom has decided to byepass the problem by taking a supply from Fuse 34 and feeding it through a fuse back to Fuse 12. If you can't get the Fuse 12 position to work I suggest installing a piggyback fuse connector in position 34 and feed fuse 12 that way. The way the supply has been picked up from fuse 34 at present is at best dubious.

Thumbs Up

Yea i am not sure why it would need to be done.

There is a 10a fuse in the inline connector, should fuse 12 should not be 7.5?
Why apart from a mistake would someone stick a 10a?

Fuse 12 should indeed be 7.5A.
Probably didn't have a 7.5A fuse to hand when carrying out the "modification".
