Stealer advice on S/W upgrade

OK, so coming into this discssion late. i too have the issue where phone book and pairing issue mean every time i get in the vehicle i have to re-enter the code. When re-paired there are, sadly, no phone book entries or last dialled numbers shown.

The fix is a 'Dealer' software upgrade to thevehicle i have been informed by the sales team. They are working on getting me a price for the update.

Have you chaps got any guideline prices that i should 'expect'? my old M5 e36 had the same s/w upgrade and that was over £200....
did i also read a post that reckoned there was cheaper route by exchanging the phone module iteself?

Wiggs (FFRR Member) does exchange phone modules which are a 10 minute swap and play.
Thumbs Up

Hi Gerry,
I assume you meant this?

This is not a dealer option. This is a custom job I did for a friend about a year back in a 2010. It consists of a modified BMW iPhone cradle, a modified RR iPhone/Aux port and the wiring. I could do another, I suppose... I'd have to check on the prices of the bits. Can't remember off the top of my head (I suffer from CRS). Guessing, roughly GBP250. The wiring was all hidden, BTW. Silly to have a squiggly cord running through the middle of the cubby, if you ask me.

Let me know if you're that interested.

Second time I've written that today. I'm going to go into business here. Laughing

Hi,

this is just what I am after. Could you send me all the details etc. What does this setup allow you to do. Can you play the music, charge etc etc. Any info you give me would be fantastic. ease to setup/fit??

Kind regards

Dave

Hi, I have finally back-dated the Software on my Blackberry torch and now this is working fine on bluetooth.
however, i would like to know if you could point me in the right direction of how to install a blackberry torch cradle in this range rover, it's a supercharged vogue se, so it comes with a cradle already fitted in the cubby box, i would imagine it is quite feasable to change this, but land rover are quite useless, so they have stopped making update cradles, can you suggest anything? thank you, david
