2021 PHEV or MHEV?

I need a grand tourer. I’ve tried 2+2 sports cars and exec V8s but think it’s time to try a FFRR. It will be used twice a year for 3k+ miles touring Europe (but not towing) and the rest of the time pottering around. In total will probably do less than 10k miles pa.
So should I look at a P400e or just a petrol engine? I don’t want anything too sluggish but don’t want to go back to appalling fuel economy.
Seems to be some good approved used 2020/2021 plates for under £75k. Any advice most appreciated.

I had a P400e for 5 years, mainly due to my L460 taking 18 months to arrive. The only problem I had was towards the 4th year it didn't use the electric drive very often, which I found was down to a low voltage in the 12v battery. If you buy one, make sure the 12v is new or recently replaced as otherwise you will find your fuel economy poor and the car feeling very underpowered.

Otherwise the car was excellent and I thought the drivetrain setup was generally very good. I did most of my miles on the battery as my daily journeys were less than 10 miles.

Thanks for the reply. I'll certainly check the 12V status.
