United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Sumatra Black

Hi. Just put a deposit down on a 2011 L322 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography - hopefully pick it up this weekend.

Been a Land Rover enthusiast for a long time. Got my first one in 2015 - Defender 90 300TDi and have just sold a Discovery 2 V8 and have also owned a Discovery 300TDi and a Series III V8 conversion which I rebuilt myself.

Current project is a 110 CSW with a Cummins conversion which has been in progress for about 3 years now. It's at rolling chassis stage with the engine and gearbox in place, but needs a bulkhead swap and bodywork. I'll get around to it eventually.

Quite happy to work on my own cars so hoping this site will help me out with any issues that occur with the new purchase.

Daily driver is a Mitsubishi L200 - I want something more luxurious and comfortable for trips away and caravan towing (pickup is bouncy), hence the FFRR.

Great to see new members joining the forum thick and fast. Welcome everyone. This is an excellent forum with a huge amountbof knowledge from people who have owned many Range Rover products. As an owner with justv8 months under my belt, my advice to newbies is preventative maintenance and set a bit of cash aside for the unforseen when it happens.

Hi everyone, newbie here. Staring my journey into L322 ownership. Been trawling the forum and absorbing as much info as possible to support the search for the right car as opposed to rushing into the first one I see. Thanks to all who have shared their wisdom and experience.

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Orkney Grey

Hi all!!
Just got my first l322 and it's the best motor I've had by far. Prenious cars have been BMW 3 and 5 series, audi a4, Ford ranger wildtrak to name a few but I think I've found the right car now 😂

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

I purchased my first ever RR at the start of the year. Santorini black, ivory leather, Vogue but has things like heated and cooled seats, higher power HiFi, sunroof to name a few. It’s a late 2012 4.4 TDV8 L322. In amazing condition, interior looks almost new and bodywork/engine bay look a few years old. 86000 miles with lots of fairly recent work but only a partial history.

Shortly after taking delivery I had a battery issue and a parasitic drain problem. Took a while to solve then had another breakdown with the car refusing to start. RAC said BCM failure, took it to a dreadful so called specialist who took nearly 3 months to have the ECU earths rebuilt. Whilst there it developed a turbo issue so wouldn’t come out of limp mode. They lied constantly to me and told me I needed new turbo’s.

Took it to someone known to my son who owns an independent Landrover garage who diagnosed an actuator issue. Despite the previous garage telling me I would need circa £10k of work I was charged £374 for a new actuator and associated work as well as a thorough once over of the car.

9 months after buying the FFRR I have a car working and I absolutely love it. There is a part of me that says sell whilst it’s all good as has been serviced, all filters and fluids changed inc gearbox oil and sump. I want to keep it and actually enjoy it now it’s working. Will post some pics as well as some questions as I do have a few niggles to resolve.
