Any recommendations for the MY10-12 front and rear dash cams?

I was thinking about the LR dash cam for the L405, but am told it is incompatible with the L322…in particular with the Nav unit

I've used Thinkware dashcams for years - now on the F880Pro. Works well, good image quality and night vision. the rear camera comes with a cable that is plenty long enough for Range Rovers and can be pulled through the tailgate grommets reasonably easily. The front camera is unobtrusive and doesn't have one of those pointless screens on it.
Not cheap (I got one on offer at £280) but well worth it when you have an 'incident' where the other driver can be seen on their phone....

The parking function proved it's worth when a couple of scrotes were identified trying car door handles on the street, the Police (for once) did use the images against them, they were apparently good enough to meet the requirements for positive identification despite no close-by street lighting.

I have a lesser model Thinkware that I don't use the park function and the pictures are great First time FFRR owner

Any old dash cam will be useful to prove non-fault. They tuck quite nicely behind the rear view mirror, out of sight for the driver. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

agree with Gary..

dont get conned into buying an expensive dashcam, an adequate one can be bought for around £30/40...

you will find that after the initial novelty of having one runs out you wont touch it for months or even years.. ... - .- -.

1080p = 720p
2k = 1080p

I have used knock off go-pros in all my cars for years. They are extremely cheap, come with lots of fitting options have good resolution and wide angle lenses. Just ensure you set up the cycle record and for it to turn on and of with external power. I fit a cheap usb 12v inverter up in the roof consol area and run the usb cable to the top of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror where the go pro is fitted. 2007 TDV8 VSE

I use the Garmin Mini as its small and discrete and no screen. All set up via an app etc.

You can clip it to the back of the headlining. If you gently lever it down, you can feed a cable through and down the rear pillar (these also pull off quite easily) into the rear fuse box and hey presto. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Stick it to the window and mount it in the upper tailgate?

It's just 3 easily accessible bolts to remove the spoiler and the bung should be easily accessible to feed a cable through (the cables for the rear camera go through the same one). The top trim on the upper tailgate just pulls off - it has 2 clips into the side trims on either side.

Removing the L322 tailgate upper trim panel requires great care.

The fixings are thin plastic blades moulded into both the upper and lower edges of the panel.
They slide into metal "grips" which are a push fit into the tailgate body panel.

The plastic blades are quite thin and break with little encouragement.
From memory there are either six of eight of them - if you only break a couple you'll be doing well.
Break too many and you'll need a new panel.

If the panel has been off a number of times already, it may come away relatively easily.
But in that event some of the "blades" will quite likely be broken already.

New replacements are not cheap - assuming they're still available.
Second hand examples like all used interior trim panels often leave much to be desired.

Using a trim removal tool at the panel ends will very likely take some paint off both the panel you're attempting to remove and those adjacent.

The last time I needed mine removed I had my Indy do it - no damage at all.
He did it by gripping the panel at the upper and lower edges, pulling firmly (but carefully) away perpendicular to the panel, working his way along the panel a little at a time so as separate it evenly along its length.

The key here is to pull the panel away evenly both vertically and laterally, such that the plastic "blades" are not stressed.

If yours is still pristine then consider how confident you feel.
This may be a task to delegate to an expert.
