2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

DPF Am I going paranoid?

I Have a 2011 TDV8 with only 47K on the clock. On a trip the other day I got a red DPF warning and instant limp mode, this after travelling half way up the M1 and back the day before. Fortunately I keep my GAP tool in the glove box so managed to do a partial regen and get it out of limp mode to finish the journey.

A few days later I did a DPF clean and an almost full regen (before I ran out of road) and watched the soot level get down to 0.3grams which I thought was good enough so returned home doing about 60mph all the way for about 40 minutes.

I then checked to soot level when I got home only to find it was back up to 17.6grams.

I did a smoke test which found no leaks and the only error code I have had for years is "Heated O2 sensor heating circuit open circuit" which I'm guessing only operates when the exhaust is cold.

Is this a normal rate of soot accumulation or am I getting paranoid in my old age? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Soot building up way, way too fast. Probably a good idea to get the sensor replaced ( or check the wiring) to rule this out. Is your mpg normal ? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Was the smoke test high enough pressure ?
It will be an intake air leak somewhere,

4 short doughnut hoses
Throttle body hose,
Split in plastic inlet manifold ( either side ) or donought.
Look out for sooty oil deposits.

You also need to get the O2 sensor sorted, that will be skewing all sorts of values -the heater is an integral part of the sensor for liberating free oxygen in the exhaust gases, it functions all the time, not just at cold start.

I believe the soot content is calculated from the differential between the two pressure sensors and as the soot content came down gradually to 0.3 grams during the regen I assumed that they must be working.

The O2 sensor is a bu**er to get out. I would like to test the wiring but can't see where it connects to the loom. Any tips? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

If you go to the WIKI section there are lots of technical docs inc wiring diagrams and workshop manuals. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I've got the wiring diagram ok but I need the physical locations of the two inline connectors C1559 and C2759D and I can't find them.

Someone on the forum has the part number as LR001370 but that appears to only have 5 wires and the wiring diagram has 6. Can anyone confirm the HO2S sensor part number for me please? 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
