Vogue 2008 TDV8 keyfob sync issue [solved]

I am new here and also new as owner of a Tonga green L322 Vogue from 2008. The car had only one working key when I got it and I have succeeded in cloning the transponder, so I now have two keys that can start the engine.

However, in spite of trying all possible instructions (turn key, remove, button combinations), I have not been able to sync the remote of the second key fob (the first one is working, but does not respond during the synchronization process).
I have tried the following additional actions during the process:
- Using the key programming function of the Iidtool
- BCM ECU renew function of the Iidtool
- Battery reset of the car
- Replacement of the RF receiving module in the tailgate (made new difference)

As the one working key fob opens and closes the doors correctly, all seems to be OK, so I don't know how to proceed. Has anyone experienced and solved a similar situation?
How can I verify if the car initiates the sync process (for example using the Iidtool)? Could it be related to the fob (I have tried 5 different keys sourced from different suppliers - both cheap Chinese fobs and more expensive ones)? Could it be hardware related (BCM or immobilizer unit)? when it is not working to clone the key fob without using the car?

I would be very grateful for any suggestions or hints that could help me get additional key fobs working.

Best regards,
Henrik

Thank you for the link, unfortunately it does not provide anything new that I did not already try. I have spent a lot of time searching for answers in this forum (and also in some US, Australian and Spanish ones), so far without luck...

I am at this stage pretty sure that it is not related to any trivial mistake during the synchronization procedure.

I am determined to fix this issue, I will thankfully accept any advice and will share my findings here when the problem is eventually solved.

So, I finally solved the issue with the keyfobs not synhronising.

The problem was that I had purchased the same type of keyfobs as the one working key I had, and this keyfob uses PCF7941. From what I have learned after hours of reearcher, the PCF7941 chipset can only be programmed by extracting the EWS and getting information the EEPROM (using a reader/programmer). The remote control is programmed at the same time as the ID46 transponder... It seems my 2008 Vogue uses the same type of components as used during the BMW era.

Not obvious, but to sync the remote controls, these should use the PDF7936 chipset. Once I got this type of keyfob (actually a cheap, Chinese one), the syncing sequence worked on the first try, and with the result that my working PCF7941 key remote no longer worked, which was fine since I could then buy and sync a second PCF7936 keyfob.

I hope this can be of help for any post 2006 L322 Vogue owners in the same situation...

Hi Will,

I ordered my keyfob from AliExpress... This is the item: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005005449719292.html

You will have to choose the corresponding frequency (Europe is 433 MHz) and then the corresponding chipset... And in some cases if you want it with or without the ID46 transponder.
