good stuff the grey bit is I think just a rubberised sealant, I cut mine away and didn't have any problems with it after .

| you will find a lot of parts are bmw as they built it like I said look on flea bay for the motor and when replacing make sure the hole is as big as you can get it ,you can cut away the grey foam like ... |
