Couldn't believe the amount of rust I found on both straps . Now sorted. Many thanks to the forum. |

Read this, checked mine, knackered they were so rusty torx bolts rounded off, had to cut cable with angle grinder, give the ends a smack with hammer to get em moving then cut the strap off as close as possible to bolt to turn em out as the ends were rusted into one piece, all four mountings the same and on a 2007 car as well, new uns fitted and dunked in grease pot before fitting, bit messy but they aint gonna rust again |

After reading this post I decided to check my tailgate straps, and surprise surprise they were indeed rusty, not as bad as some examples on here but well on the way (see pic below).

Good ideas there Pete. I will do the same when I receive replacements. How long ago did you order yours? I sent an email an nearly 2 wks ago but no reply yet. Maybe they are still closed for xmas-NY. ______________________________

So nothing has changed from P38A days. I had a couple rust away on mine. Best I check the L322.
