United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged Supercharged Java Black
My new 18" wheels for cars with Brembos (with pictures)

So if you have a car with Brembos you probably will find you're limited on wheel choices, especially if you're in a Supercharged. Fortunately Compomotive made some wheels for Bowler which are available to the public. These fit over FFRR Brembos without any mods, and also have a slightly wider offset so that they really look immense. Also they are rated for another 55kg per wheel over the standard fit SC 20"s.

Having checked each wheel when they arrived in the box I can definitely say they look much stronger than FFRR wheels and apparently they are lighter because they use better alloy and I believe they are forged (certainly looked like it from the machining on the back).

I've gone for some Goodyear UltraGrip+ SUV tyres in a 255/60/18 which look amazingly aggressive. They are a winter compound, with a LOT of siping in the tread blocks, especially down the centre, but also have some massively chunky (nearly AT style) tread blocks.

I didn't think going down 2" in wheel size, but changing the colour could make the car so menacing. However it really does have that "If you cut me up on the road I'll take you somewhere and bury you in the woods" kinda look you need in rush hour these days. Laughing

You can get them in silver, black, white, gold or custom colours. I got them direct from Compomotive and their service was outstanding. I went for the anthracite as that's the original Bowler colours (very sad I know!).

If they are the 18"s and are £100 a pop I'd buy them instantly. Hell I would buy them as a spare set!

Been out and about today on them and the tyres are a LOT quieter than my 20" Pirelli Scorpion Zero M+S tyres. They handle pretty much the way the Pirellis did in summer, but on cold frosty/icy roads. In fact I am worried they handle too well, as they could lead to a bit of false confidence ...

Good colour for the wheels Smile

Having sprayed mine a gun metal grey and worn them on the car for 4 months, got used to the look (the dark side!) and certainly helps with appearances (e.g. not having to wash them so often !) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
