2010 MY 3,6 TdV8 - remap

I just took the step from D3 to FFRR 3,6 TdV8 Autobiography. I am happy with the engine, but would love to have a bit more torque.
After browsing for remap information I realize that there are few, if any, that offer a remap for MY2010 and onwards.
Am I right or what Sad ?

There are plenty for the 3.6 engine.

It's the 4.4 that is more difficult.

How do you measure the extra stress?

MPG increase? Not sure, but if feels faster, and I didn't upgrade to increase the MPG Thumbs Up

Cost, around £400-£450. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

cant comment on stress/turbos, but engine appears less under load and progress seems smoother, MPG is up by 2/3 MPG but as always depends on how you drive it.

Superchips was £360ish and quoted 320BHP and 810Nm Very Happy 2013 L405 Autobiography Baltic Blue

I can confirm JE remap 80k miles from new on my last L322, absolutely no issues and 2/3 mpg extra, I cannot comment on other remaps, but I did look at everything available and went for JE due to their long standing relationship with Land Rover since the days of the Rover V8 and their joint development of the larger capacity variants.

I also personally know of several TDV6 (RRS) and TDV8's which have been chipped / mapped and suffered engine failures costing £10/£12k and warped manifolds from budget ?? maps...

I got a BluFin and it's fine, certainly helps with overtaking - I didn't notice any improvement in MPG I still get around 25/26 according to the on board computer thing.
JE was just too far for me to go. Geoff

I was going to go with JE Engineering, but only being open 9-5 Monday to Friday made it too difficult.

I went with Bell Auto Services after reading many good reviews on Disco3. Pete at BAS even gave me a discount for mentioning Disco3 even though it was for a FFRR.

You get a box that plugs in the ODB port - follow the instructions - download your cars existing map, connect the box to a PC & email it to Pete & he returns you the remap to upload onto your car. You can switch between standard & remapped whenever you want.

Mines been on a few years now and no problems at all Thumbs Up

BAS are well known on the D3 site and when I looked at it he even offered me heading there with tin tent and have an overnight there !!

Heard nothing but great reports about Pete tbh....

My quest is back on ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Is there in anyones opinion, a maximum mileage where a re map is probably best not done? Have had 2 Disco's re mapped at about 10-15k miles. Just thinking after an engine has done 75-80k is there too much wear to be putting a bit more va va voom through it.

Try talking to Pete at BAS - he's a pretty straight guy and I'm sure he'll give you a reasonable view.
