England 2011 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

I've fitted the same cam in my FF and it's located up behind the rear view mirror. It does seem to be the best one around at the moment. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

I looked at fitting mine on the passenger side as it then pretty much disappears behind the rear view mirror. But I didn't like the idea of not been able to easily access it from the drivers side without having to move the rear view mirror etc.

I got mine from the link Stan mentioned, Joovuu. I preferred the idea of buying from a UK based seller, and at the time I bought mine back in late October Joovuu was pretty much the only place in the UK selling them.

Trev18, if night video is important then I guess it might be worth waiting for the new version. But what attracted me to the 0801 was the good reviews and so far it has lived upto expectations, and if I'm honest its exceeded them for its daytime video quality.

I guess no one knows for sure how good the new model is going to be until its released and maybe someone does a side by side comparison or something. But the dash cam manufacturers seem to update there models at-least every year. I believe the 0801 only came out in April/May 2013.

Sounds about right a new model out Big Cry , anything with a chip in it seems to be old hat as soon as you buy one! Sound good the updated one mind Thumbs Up

I bought mine from E-prance via Amazon, took a few weeks to deliver.

@Prop, good to know that its working well Thumbs Up I had seen a few reviews not to good about the camera but mostly where in favour of this little cam for the price and quality of picture in daylight. Very Happy If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Up date on the Camera,

The camera seems to turn off after a while with the sd card only 3quarters full, been doing this for 2 days now. I think the problem is the firmware.
My old firmware number was 20131026, so now have up dated it to 20130924 and cleared the sd card, so hopefully it will now record as it should, other than that its been great, even night driving is not that bad either to be honest. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Mine has been running with out issue since the end of October with a 32gb Samsung type 10 memory card, never had any problems the card filled up and then over writes oldest file as needed so its always basically near enough full.

I would suspect the type of memory card being used.

Stan, the camera picture quality is very good from low very bright sunshine to dark grim days, even the night time, headlights only are good enough for me you can see the road well enough, if there are street lights the quality will be better, no blury picture here on 1080p.
Play back on the lap top, well its good as the review techmoan said, no hesitation from one frame/file to the next when viewing a few files together.
So far so good IMO. Thumbs Up

Prop, I too have a 32gb card but its a class 6 from Samsung as I had read that the class 10 was to quick for the camera, also the manual says not to use the class 10 too!

What firmware are you on?

As my card has only one recording (driving to work) I'll have to wait to see if the firmware has sorted out the card problem time will tell, I'll keep you posted. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Just double checked my memory card and its definitely class 10 and has worked flawlessly from 1st Nov 2013. But as you said it does state to avoid class 10. Its what I had sitting around so used it and its never given me any cause to worry. The dashcam has recorded in excess of 135 hours so far and I have it set to record 3minute clips.

Firmware version is as I bought it 20130913. Never had any need to update it so doubt I ever will.

Top job Prop Thumbs Up
I will see if this class 6 does the job, if not I will try a class 10 32gb card, seem very strange when you look at some forums/reports on this cam some are ok with class 10 and others not! I did a lot of searching which was the best cards to buy and ones to avoid as well !

These links might be of use to others here. ( number 1 and 3 helped ) Thumbs Up
