How to add LED lights?

Thinking of adding some LED lights, the ones that are bright and "sexy" like in the new Audi's. Not sure if i will as i think it may look cheap, but if i was to, how would i connect the "9 - 14V DC" PVC LED lights to the battery etc. Thinking of putting them on the front.

i, i have changed all my bulbs to led's " the ones that can be changed any way" when it comes to daylight running led's it will be a hard one to pull off, you could make it look cheap or your self a boy racer..
but if you was going to go down that road i think you would have to go for the lover grills, look at the merc's or if you could get hold of a pair of head lights you could fit your own inside them and that would look propper..
but all the same would like to see what you come up with.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Well im only thinking off adding some strips, separate to the actual headlights. I think it will look abit cheap and tacky though, so im in two minds. Just thought it would look quite good at night (next.. neon lights, haha joking)

Strip lights look fine on an R8 or a New E Class but looks after market on older cars and cheapens the look

@pjs... first post so please be gentle....re drl's, i have at the moment a s-max and have replaced the fogs with smd's [leds] and wired to a drl control box [off ebay] so when the car is turned over the smds come on and when the headlights are switched on the smds go off....the s-max fogs ,as would be the ffrr fogs ,are ideal to convert to drl's as front fogs in the uk dont help much in foggy conditions and are not a legal requirement for mot's...

btw , i'm looking for a rr to replace my s-max , so hopefully i will become a fully fledged member soon....

the trouble is dave that if you dont fit the 'add on type' leds properly and in the right position , they will look tacky...the beauty of my s-max/fog install is that it looks like part of the car..

Personally, I find some LED DRL's a bit tacky when they're not supposed to be there, even some OEM ones look a bit odd to me. I much prefer the likes of Mk6 Golf's where they use the main beam dimmed. Incidentally, I went onto Navcoder yesterday and enabled the DRL function on my car, got the main beam on 25% brightness dring the day, then they go off when the headlights come on.

Looked a bit odd at first but I quite like them, might set the brightness to 35% though as they look a little yellow. 2006 Mercedes CLS

i totally agree re the add on leds looking tacky...the audis with the leds in the headlights and like you said the new golfs , look ok...

btw , how do you connect navcoder to the ffrr...
