United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover SE 4.2 SC V8 Java Black
High mileage 07/8 plate vogue se ?

Hi All,

I am just in the process of selling my tdv6 sport and migrating upwards to a vogue se.

I seem to find a lot of the 07-08 years for sale on auto trader and flea bay have done well over 100k miles.

My question being is that sort of mileage a issue on that sort of vehicle as long as it has a fsh?

thank you in anticipation

My SC is at 110k, with 40k of that put on in the last two years. Higher mileage usually means motorway miles which these cars don't break a sweat over.

My 07 TDV8 is just about to pass 100k miles - mainly motorway miles, hence you would have no ideaof the mileage by driving it. I would rathe buy a high mileage motorway vehicle than a low mileage city vehicle any day! 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

+1 also high milage means it has been used and not just sat on a drive way for weeks on end - we all know the problem with motors that are not regularly used

+ another one Thumbs Up . 100K is not particularly high mileage on a modern vehicle PROVIDED you gat a stamped up servisce record WITH the receipts to prove the expenditure is genuine.

If it then drives OK and you have checked the known 'sticking points' as listed in the buyers guides in the WIKI, I wouldn't be too worried. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

The flip side to high mileage is that the more it has, the more it's worn, if you are planning on low miles,as others say it won't matter as long as it has full service history, but if your going to put 50 k on it, it would be more challenging to sell on.

On the other flip side, if you are going to do 50k then why buy a low mileage one and spend more on depreciation? I do 35k a year, so I buy at 100k and sell at 150/160k - I've found that my depreciation is far less than if I bought at 50k and sold at 100k even with the obvious additional maintenance items.

I've done that with 4 Jaguars and now 1 Range Rover and it seems to work for me! Current Fleet:-

2021 Ford Ranger Wildtrack
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt 5.0 V8
