I'm looking to upgrade my lettering to the updates Titan letters also. I was able to find a good deal on the front (which look to be OEM )that come with a template and are backs are curved to fit the hood.

What is everyone doing for the rear? Am I correct the rear letters backing for the rear has to be flat? Does anyone have an extra template for the rear I could use? Thinking of just going with Powerful for the rear set.

I used Powerful Uk for both my front and rear Titanium lettering . They come with the front / rear templates to suit and the quality is very good in my opinion. I would recommend purchasing the Toffee wheel to assist with the old backing / adhesive removal, but do not apply too much pressure, as the panel / paint could be damaged. GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

is this towards me? Pardon my confusion (I'm state side) but what are you talking about? Are you saying used Titan lettering for front and back and templates? If so I need to go new letters as I need fresh double sided adhesive cut to the letters so it adheres properly.

Thumbs Up So the front (hood) letters definitely have a curved back side and the rear (trunk) letters are completely flat? Can you tell Powerful from OEM letters if they were side by side?

Yes. The templates are curved for the front (hood) and straight for the rear ( trunk)

Others will disagree, but I found the PUK ones aesthetically as good as OEM. GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

ok so that answers for the templates.....but in regards to the actual letters ie the fronts are curved/have a bend to them and the rears are completely flat.

I might just get the OEM front as I can get a deal and then the Powerful rear as their rears are very cheap

horse86. The powerful uk lettering appears to have a curved backing profile to the hood (as the surface is curved) and they are laid in a banana curve too to follow the hood shape.

The trunk ones have flat backing profile (as the trunk surface is flat) and are laid in a straight line

Hope that helps

Thank you for looking

There is so much misinformation and varying parts with these letters. Driving me nuts lol. Everywhere else I've seen says the rear letters lay flat and the fronts are curved (do not lat flat). I don't want to mistakenly get a flat set and them not stick b/c the surface of the hood/or trunk is curved.

If it helps, I took my original letters off my old car, made a template first so I could stick 'em back in the right place, just used masking tape straight onto the paintwork, sprayed em and refitted with some double sided tape they looked OK. They were the original dark grey ones.
I can confirm that all the letters have curved fronts but the fronts have curved backs and the backs flat backs (does that make sense?)

Just cost me a tin of spray paint, I used the Simoniz 5 Silver Alloy, I thought it looked pretty good - correction - it did look (and still does) look good.

and yes I miss that car Big Cry Geoff

To help?....picturesof the PUK lettering

Trunk> The letters are installed in a straight pattern.

Hood>> The letters are installed in a curved pattern like a banana to follow the front line of the hood

PS- Corrected my earlier post !
