Do the wing mirror puddle lights need error free leds ?

Fitted leds to the boot, footwell lights and lights at the bottoms of the doors. Big difference very happy with them. The error free leds should be here tomorrow to replace the side lights.

I did have one issue though I put leds in the wing mirror puddle lights they just turned on for a second then went out ? I have just put the standard bulbs back in for now but I take it I need error free bulbs for these ?

I had the same problem. Gave up in the end and put the originals back in.

Both mine went, no error. Put in LEDs and it's fine. No resistance error as far as I know. You remind me of a young me, not much younger mind, perhaps even a little older!

They don't work with LED's pal Rolling Eyes Not sure about can bus led's though...

You would need to add resistors to make them work!

I simply soldered the live wire to the puddle light on the bottom of the door (as they don't need a set resistance to work) and they then work every time the door is opened rather than for the first 10secs or so... Thumbs Up

Mine must be can bus error free then, that's not what it says on the tin. They do work tho.

So, in the same vein - would I be able to put LED's in the rear number plate lights (I think they look much better)??

Presume they'd need to be the error free bulbs??

CEEGEE, the number plate lamps will have to be error free, but they are as cheap as chips, I got 5 for £2.50 from ping pong via fleabay Thumbs Up Mind you they did take nearly a month to arrive, probably not the best way to go if your impatient , or in desperate need to join the rest of us Very Happy

Error free bulbs came today for the side lights. Quickly tested them in the mirrors and they work fine. So I will be ordering a few more and think I will get the number plate ones as well.... addicted Very Happy

Also really like how the headlights come out nice and simple to change the bulb. None of this lying and the ground, wheels at full lock, aimlessly fidling about in the wheel well, hands bleeding trying to change a damn bulb Big Cry Range Rover Vogue 2006 4.4 AJV8 | Buckingham Blue | Parchment Leather | Supercharged Grill+Side Vents | CA02 HEY ( NOT 02 PLATE )

NO DONT prise them off Mark... Open the glasses holder in the front and you will see 2 8mm headed bolts up inside, remove them and then the whole console will pull down from the roof... The front & rear lights are held in place with two crosshead screws from the rear Thumbs Up

The rear roof console just pulls down sir Thumbs Up

Ahh. Thanks Craig. I knew there had to be something holding it.

The front leds look great although they are a little blue compared to the xenons. I'm thinking of putting 6000k bulbs in for the xenons anyway. Do i need to order any specific bulbs ? or just any d1s 6000k bulb ?
