New MY2016 TDV6 - Dog Guard advice?

Hi Everyone,

Collected my new TDV6 Vogue yesterday (after 5 impatient months waiting!!!) and now need to find a suitable dog guard. I had the LR double height "Cargo Barrier" in my previous shape TDV8 but I hated the loading restriction that the double height model caused and now it seems that LR have dropped the half height barrier altogether in the L405.

So, does anyone have experience/advice on a decent quality after-market alternative. Especially the Travall guard which has been recommended by a friend but as they are car model specific I have no idea if it fits the RR well or not.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I didn't like the full height one so I got one of the ones in this post I started (ppic and details in there):

There is an alternative that I considered:
http://www.britpart.com/parts/interior-pro...over-l405/
It comes in three parts that seem to be bought seperately and it doesn't look like you need the lower part.

Thanks - I saw your thread on the perspex one and I think its a good looking option but I need to be able to drop the seats easily so it's sadly a non-starter.

The Britpart device you mentioned is actually the Travall one I am already looking at but I don't need the kit with the divider piece so they do a dog guard and boot liner kit here:

Why did you reject the Britpart/Travall? Or did you just prefer the idea of perspex?

I wasn't sure how it fixed - it looks like it wedges into the rear 3/4 windows and is held in tension by the vertical poles. My dog wedges himself right in that corner so I thought he'd be uncomfortable. I also prefered the look of the perspex one. I bought the divider as it thought I might gerry rig that up too.

I have a half height one bought off eBay that works just fine.

But then again, we only have a Chihuahua and she lives on the parcel shelf when in the car, but it gives her a nice space to walk around in.

I use a Lintran box when transporting dogs.
Contains the dogs from rolling around and is much safer in the event of emergency braking or an accident.
Has the added benefit of ensuring the dogs can't chew anything expensive, if they are wet and they shake it doesn't spray everywhere etc.

Thanks - they look like quite a good option!
Is yours a DB10X model (£389) which seems to be what they recommend for a Range Rover.
Or did you get a custom made one?

Don't know the model number, but here is a pic.
Had it in a couple of the previous RR models and my biggest worry with the new one was that the dogbox wouldn't fit!

This is the one I bought - same seller

Looks exactly the same as this one, but I don't bother installing the ties to the luggage hoops as it seems robust enough without - at least with only a Chihuahua to worry about Thumbs Up

I have the Lintran DB10X in my L322 and understand it will fit the L405. A very good box which I would recommend

England

I have transk9 dog box that will be going in my car, I think the best as silent in travel & with our 3 mutts keeps the dog hair in the dog box & can leave the dogs in the car with the boot open with cage locked - not recommended if away from the car but often judge horse trials so can sit at a fence in the knowledge that dogs are 100% safe Thumbs Up

Expensive but I cannot recommend highly enough - Had to downsize recently as the Discovery 4 one was too big for the L405 due soon Paul
L405 now sold
