If the message is still coming up but the car seems to be working OK I suspect that one of the ABS sensors has failed. I think they can just do that at random times, so it could be a coincidence and not the workshop's fault. I suppose they might have knocked a connector out, or a wire has become detached. Only Range Rovers since 1988

If a height sensor was broken it wouldn't sit level and if an ABS sensor was out you would have a bunch of lights on the dash on from ABS to HDC to EBD...etc

If the car sits level with no other faults up then it is probably going to be something like the compressor or valves... little point looking around for faults as you won't see anything different...

Get the codes read and take it from there..... Thumbs Up Pete

If they had it on a ramp with the wheels dangling down it can move the height sensors into a dirty part of their track and cause all sorts of problems.
Also battery drained as already mentioned after leaving it unlocked for a day whike they get around to changing oil and filter.
I kept clearing mine with allcomms and eventually it shut up.
I had DSC, ABS, EAS HDC inactive after my MOT and it kept trying to put the brakes on when I first moved off which is the HDC kicking in for no reason

Mine would jam the breaks on and then go into fault mode and deactivate everything.
The fault code came back as an ABS sensor but they were new and I checked them and they were fine.
Depending on year, 2002-2005, the allcomms from RSW solutions is a fantastic bit of kit for the money and can read and clear faults and calibrate suspension among other things and was designed specifically for the L322.

A height sensor passing through a "dirty" area would be an "at the time" fault, as soon as it moved back it would not show a fault any more... The sensors are just a very cheap but reliable Hall effect sensor that is totally sealed, they don't get dirty inside...

After being raised on a two post ramp they can throw a hissy fit for a while but will usually return to normal after a short drive... Pete

The theory is they drag dirt back into the used part and as you say mine cleared after a while but as always decent RR diagnostics is the key I have found

is the allcomms from RSW a download and if so can i buy a generic usb obd2 socket reader and use it with their software?
just thinking what will be quickest solutions to getting these codes read and cleared and then have a tool for future use.

cheers Thumbs Up

Phone Dan and he'll send you an IID tool next day... no great rush with yours, if the suspension is still at normal height... Thumbs Up Pete

if you can find a genuine one in the uk you can use their software, (or find somebody who has one as they are not locked to a vehicle), i believe but you would need to contact them to check, there were some crap copies floating around ebay that won't work.
if not it's a case of ordering from the states which will take 2 -3 weeks at a guess but well worth the wait in my opinion.

i am a bit out of touch with what else is on the market but i do know the allcomss is brilliant and although i have a faultmate extreme i still use the allcomms more often

Thanks for the advice, i think as my car looks poo sitting so low i need something ASAP, i have found standard IID tool on ebay next day delivery for just under £300 so i think ill invest in that, just to get the code read and fault cleared to see if that does the trick.

shame your in kent or you could of done me a favour with your faultmate Rolling with laughter

I would gladly help out with the allcomms but the faultmate is vin locked with a €50 each way transfer fee.
I don't know about the IID but hopefully sorts you out
