Ahhh I pulled it out of the rear Sad maybe the bushing has damaged the hole as I'm guessing it was meant to be taken out in reverse of fitment...

Ah well lesson learned think the hub needs to be swapped! 0poo sticks! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Most likely the wrong bushes you have, they are parallel so doesn't make any difference what way they come out, the tapered end is to make it easier to go back in. Doubt very much you managed to distort the casting, that's a tough piece of metal. Vernier caliper on the old bush and compare the diameter with the new one

RAVE actually calls these ball joints and the bushings are at the wishbone to frame joint. Just curious if the old "ball joints" were so battered that they had play and were slapped around in the hub causing wear.

There was no play in the one that came out before it was taken out but the rubber looked like crap so I just thought I'd do it while I was there seeing as I had the parts already albeit Brit part ones.
Guess it's just going to be undoing the tie rod and then knocking the driveshaft out somehow and fitted a second hand unit after stripping that one properly and fitting new bushes to it... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Well there is not so good news and good news!!!

Good news is I'll be fitting a new wheel bearing shortly.

The bad news is the hub is scrap!

Good news is micrometer arrived this morning.

Bad is is the Britpart bush is 45.1mm, the LR is 45.2mm and the hope on the hub is 45.3/4mm Sad

Only myself to blame so I'll be using a smaller push out on the other side! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
