I found that reflashing the module with the iiD tool resolved the issue re the address book.

Does Wiggs not just reflash the module? John

Thanks again guys, as I say, I'm not too worried about the phone book, as long as the call quality is half decent, I've only actually used it once today and that was calling the ex so I was none too worried about the quality at the other end, but my end was fine........ Laughing Laughing Laughing

I've certainly come across the name Wiggs on my searches of the forum on this topic, seems to be the go to man.

Like I say, would be more convenient not to have to pair them each time I got in but at least it's working and a lot further on than I was yesterday.

No bluetooth fitted......... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Might look into the auto pairing at a later date, having a quick look around at the retro fitting of the sat nav, it seems to be much more than a plug and play job with the absence of the necessary connectors and loom, obviously LR wanting to make the process as difficult as possible by fitting different looms at the factory.

So I think next job is the crank case breather, if it hasn't already been changed.

I was a little concerned with a noise I was hearing when lifting off the go pedal, like a dump valve for all the world but I'm reading that that is normal.

And of course the steering wheel adjustment, either not moving or having a mind of it's own so I got it to a position I liked and pulled the power to the motor, incidentally it was just the tilt that ever moved, either all the way up or all the way down, no movement on the in and out or rake ever.

I think I read somewhere that there was a recall on these so I might contact the main stealers and see if there's anything outstanding, plus it's still under warranty so might get the dealer I bought it from to take a look, I made him aware it before I took it.

I thought the Sat Nav comment was a joke - anyway, it probably should have been - the FFRR SatNav isn't particularly good and the latest available maps are 2012 IIRC. There are significantly better (and cheaper) 3rd party options available, either a TomTom unit, or something like Waze on a phone.

For the other issues, better to use the search function first, then if you need to, post each unrelated question as a separate thread - generally people skim the titles and only click in to ones they are interested in / may be able to help with Thumbs Up

You mean a joke that LR fitted two different looms for vehicles ordered with and without sat nav?

Ya, that is a joke..... Rolling Eyes

I'm not fussed about the sat nav to be honest, just another onboard toy compared to other systems, I'm sure my iphone will get me where I want to go, just happy to have some sort of hands free for the phone.

I'll keep searching for answers as I find problems and post and questions separately if I need to.

Thanks again for the help......... Thumbs Up

Cheers, I appreciate that, I'm not far from you, Nass/Newbridge direction, if you've enjoyed a drink or two at home in the past you may have been a customer of mine in an off licence I has in Kildare once upon a time..... Wink

Happy to say I haven't been to a garage in years (bar a clutch in a 5 series) and look after pretty much everything else myself, I get my DOE's (my FFRR is classifieds as N1 crew cab) done in D&M's in Kilcullan, commercial '06 Discovery, '08 RR sport and a handful of Nissan Navara's in the past before returning to the LR stable.

Thanks for the offer, I'm sure I'll be in contact for advice it some stage.... Thumbs Up
