There are some new straight six ingenium engines coming out later this year - think they'll be the ones worth waiting for.

By the way, I've not sat in it, but I have sat in the f-pace. It's totally different from the FFRR. You're much more enclosed. Still nice, but different. I can't imagine the velar is much different from the f-pace.

Where are these new engines made and what advantages are they going to have?

what hasn't been mentioned on here is that you sit much lower in a Velar than you would in a FFRR.

Have you sat in one? I have, and it's not that much lower, no more low down than a RRS. And there's plenty of glass area unlike Evoque.

As for a hard decision, Standard Vogue or almost top of the line Velar. No choice really. Same spec on the FFRR would take you to 120k.

Tailgate not being split. Agreed, not right. But that and the lack of a full trasnfer box are my only 2 gripes.

I would add Brakes. To me they seem small, single piston and no Brembos bad i think on the two most powerful versions.
But the rest looks stunning.
I hear the AB and SVR are coming.

Yes, a lot of the components come from abroad.

blocks, heads and crankshaft forgings mostly supplied from German foundries.

The forged pistons have a protracted route to Wolverhampton, starting their journey in a press-shop in India, before being transported to the Czech Republic for machining and then onwards to the West Midlands.

Once we brexit, by the time you charge us more for the engine components, and then slap on a trade tariff for the car, you'll be lucky if they are less then €200,000....... Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
