rear end sliding

i've searched the forum and cant find anything similar to my problem..

when turning right and also going round a roundabout at normal speeds and in the dry ,my rear end seems to 'slide' out..
if i accelerate, this is made worse like a rear wheel vehicle sliding on wet roads..

its not so noticeable when turn left.

tyres [20''] and pressures are ok, a set of 21'' wheels/tyres did the same and i'm back on 20''..

transfer box and rear diff oils were changed 12k miles ago by a main dealer..

my FF has been up on a ramp and been checked with a pry bar for any wear on bushes etc..

any ideas? ... - .- -.

When I had my transfer box serviced for similar reason Stan, they warned me that they often need the oil changing again to fully cure the problem. Mine has started to feel odd at the back left again and is going to have the (transfer box) oil changed again when it's in for service in a couple of weeks.

Yes, big improvement straight away Stan but it has gradually come back, albeit not as bad, over the last few thousand miles. I'm hopeful that the next change should fix it for good! It's just an oil change this time and not the software update too

My L322 did that Stan and it turned out to be a rear hub bush. According to my Indy, it’s hard to find with a pry bar because they check it with all the weight of the car loaded on it, making it seem ok. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Could it be this Stan...

Double flush and software update sorts it apparently...

thats interesting Pete and although it refers to a judder rather than the sliding rear , it could solve my problem.
i am also kinda drawn to Nicks solution with the transfer box needing an oil change but this was done on mine 12k miles ago [or was it?]

dont think its a bush Alan as my son had pry barred it on a four arm lift [not a ramp, sorry Embarassed ]

i did try a calibration on the transfer box with the iidtool but got an error 'E7' code, maybe it needs a software update?.... ... - .- -.

Hi Stan
Has your car got a closed rear diff?
If so you may be experiencing the same problem I have after paying for a double flush which did not fix the problem, it went back to JLR again and it is booked in for a replacement rear diff (Under warranty) It's only taken about a year to convince them it was the problem. the car has only covered 20k miles. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB

i dont know Alex...how do i determine this?

so you think that it could be the diff.....sounds plausible as this could explain why the slide results mainly when i turn right... ... - .- -.

The Dealership had to get confirmation from technical at JLR to change the diff which the warranty company then approved,
The part is on backorder, so it is booked for fixing in October. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB

When you go to the screen 4x4 information it will show a padlock (or not).
If you have a padlock that is a closed diff which has a clutch plate system which is my problem the clutch plates do not disengage.
If you don't have the padlock, it`s open then it will be a different problem.

I believe Most of the autobiography cars were fitted as standard. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB

Looks like you don't have a locking rear diff. You are back to the double flush and software update on the transfer box... Thumbs Up Pete

Stan, when you checked the car on the ramp, did you only check the car with the suspension on full droop?
