air suspension

I have a problem with the air suspension.
Three days ago, while driving, I realised the left front suspension was down.
By the time I had got home it was normal and stayed normal for the next two days.
Now its down again, there is no air atall in the air bag.
If the air bag had a air leek, I would have thought the air compressor would be running, trying to fill it, so I am thinking there is a fault in the leveling system.
What are your thoughts

Airbags often get leaks at this time of year as the weather gets cooler.
Front left is the usual culprit - it takes more bumps being on the side of the road.
It can be intermittent as the hole can be in a place where it is folded against itself and therefore will not leak.

I left the car parked up four 4 days and the air bag was still up.
I took it out, about 5km, next day the bag was still up.
Drove about 30km and it went down.
It seams all over the place RR 2005 4.4 petrol
