hi all
i changed the wheels on my rr ages ago,the annoying yellow light in the dash has finally gotten to me,i took the old wheels down to my local garage for the sensors to be fitted to the new wheels,the mechanic? said he couldn't take them off without breaking them,has anyone any idea how to do this as,it would give me great pleasure in handing them over for refitting?
do the sensors really have to go on same corners they came off?
the car is an 07 tdv8 vogue se if it makes any difference

hi, is the sensor not fitted via the valve hole, my brother had them on a ford he had, they are the same unit, and they were fitted through the valve and then a nut held them in place, two min job, but you need the tyre off to remove and fit. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

the sensor does sound the same,although on the inside there is no nut,the plastic sensor spins when turned via the nut on the outside and looks like breaking completely,tried wd40 on nut and holding in place but just scared of breaking
am i just being a big jessie or are there any more suggestions

I would have thought that it is a few minute job on the computer.

and as far as I am aware the sensor does not have to go back on the same corner where it came off - or at least it is not the case on my car as I keep changing the wheels around

maybe ken will be able to shed more light into it.

The TPMS sensors seem to be EXTREMELY fragile and if the tyre fitter is a ham fisted idiot (like the ones at my supplying dealership) they will more than likely break them when replacing tyres. Discovery 4 HSE
