Best place to sell a caravan

Due to current work problems i'm looking to start selling things off.

The 1st major one is a carvan we got at the end of last summer/autumn.

Its a used one and is a 2006 model twin axle 5 berth so its a big old beast.

Am i better taking it to a dealer or are classifieds on ebay or some caravan mags the best way to go?

I don't think the wife would even mind selling it as it is in ready to go condition(- the gas bottle of course) but its fully furnished, has its own utensils, cookware, towels, tanks and pink and blue kit, and the remainder of the 1yr warranty from the supplying dealer and FSH as well.

I know i won't get back what i paid but as long as its not less than 60% id be happy enough with it Smile

Any advice gratefully recieved chaps and chappess's! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Personally i would try to sell it privately first as dealers are having trouble selling on what stock they have , but failing selling it privately see if there are any caravan dealers around your way that would sell it for you on a Brokerage basis …

Going private though where is the best place?

I dont sell loads of expensive stuff via the bay but i guess it has the largest audience really. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

This is the time of year to sell it privately. Advertise on the bay, autotrader and in Practical Caravan. If you price it sensibly it should sell easily this time of year.

Best of luck.

I put mine on eBay last year and although I received a few @iss taking offers via messages, it eventually went for the full asking price.

Cheers guys Smile

I've set myself a time limit of 2 weeks to get a half decent job sorted out (contract or perm) and if i fail in that time the 'van is first on the chopping board and the FFRR at the same time Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

On site PC/Server/Switch repair/Install/upgrade... DMRR.

Im DV cleared so everything from the struggling home owner upto small companies for support.

I'd like to be able to do the work for primary schools within a given locality or area but they are well and truly locked down at the minute for a fair while.

I've done a fair amount of work all over, even abroad which isn't bad really and good experience when you can speak a little of the local dialect Smile
I really enjoy it though when im out on a site, helping someone or a small outfit with their problems and solving as much as i can so they can actually get the best from the kit they have or are wanting to get.

I've spent tonight playing with an old stock 2950 for a charity to use their current connection across more devices than their current setup allows and when it comes to testing, even when the routing doesn't work right first time its still great knowning your most of the way there and have a fault to fix which you can learn from Smile

Anyway i digress!!

If i shed the caravan i get a few months breathing space but shedding the FF as well would mean i could even take up a minimum wage job and still keep the bills paid (even if the other half would be the major bread winner then!! Shocked ) as i just couldnt stand to sit on my cheeks watching JK, Trisha, Ladies that lunch and that kabble for more than day, as it is on my weeks off! but making sure i owe very little to any bank is the safest bet in this climate i think and moving the rest of my PC stock quickly could help as well... grr why does money have to exist!!! Roughly where are you based? I think I have someone on their way out and you sound like you might be an ideal replacement....but it's not certain he's off. Land Rover Addict
