So we have a result somewhat.. See photo, when I hold the hook bar and move it it stops the buzzing sound. But there is no metal touching off metal so how could it cause that noise..Plus it's not the box as this is a different one..

could be , coz sometimes the rubber mounting bush can get worn and thus not have a tight fit around the lugs on the exhaust , which in turn could cause it to have a droning effect ====================================

So went to 2 places today bout the vibrating noise, fast fit place said nothing wrong and other garage said I need a flexi tube to absorb the vibration but couldn't tell me what was causing the noise.. Has any tried these flexi tubes? Anyone know the part numbers for those orange things in the pictures as I might get a set just in case.. Thanks |

The part number for the rubber hangers, genuine, is WCS000110.

So I gave in and got the flex pipe welded on, the mechanic was so sure this would work he promised me my money back if it didn't €150. Lo and behold, no noise. (so far)! Also got the new rubbers on before the welding but these didn't help unfortunately, but they were cheap enough. Have to say, maybe I'm just imagining things, but its much more quiet at idle. V happy |
