This is more of a reminder than anything. I have been thinking about dropping my towbar armature in order to get the farmers drop plate out - it's rusted in!

I was looking for some instructions on how to do it and couldn't find any, then I remembered that bits of TOPix are free and of course all the installation instructions for accessories are indeed just that.

So if you've forgotten, or never knew, go to TOPix enter some simple vehicle data in my case "New Range Rover" "2007" in the dropdowns and click the owner tab at the top and then see what you can get for free on the left - you don't need to register. http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm

You can also print stuff out, although it's slow, so I now have the instructions for fitting sidesteps and the towbar armature to help me if and when I get round to doing the job - Sidesteps another story, the plastic trim insert is cracked.

Obvious for those of you with earlier models there is RAVE, a lot of which is useful for all models.

Don't be giving me that "told you so" - two broken posts will testify to my attempts with a chain and my overdeveloped right arm is not due to the same thing Micks is - or it might be - swinging a sledgehammer for 20 minutes. and the 4 tonne bottle jack was just stopped in its tracks.
