Another call out for Land rover Assist

Just went out to go somewhere pressed the starter button

No dash lights , just flickering headlights for about 15 seconds and a constant tap tap sound coming from the engine bay .

Now she sits stone dead no electrics nothing , yet yesterday she ran no problem ….

Go into the bedroom, roll up in a little ball under the covers (after cutting all electrical power to the house, shutting off the gas and water) and don't come out till tomorrow morning. Then walk over to the car and it will start like a dream (unless it is a bad dream of course, but then who is to say you are not in one right now..............)...... MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

LR Assist guy reckons its nearly the end of the road for the infamous Battery , and the local stealers don't have one , he said if he had one he would have fitted it but they are only allowed to carry one at a time and his was fitted to someone else this morning Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Have to leave it running for 20 mins on the driveway to charge it up ...

It sounds like FFRR owners (LR owners in general even) should have a brand new battery sitting in their shed/garage under trickle charge. Or the cars should come with an external charge point that allows for quick and easy charging. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
