Any body come across this problem before i have a 2003 4.4 vogue and the drivers seat and steering column both stop working at the same time.
I have tried the pasenger seat and all is fine there its just the drivers seat and the steering adjustment.

Cannot find anything relating to your seat is it possibe that you have accidentally unplugged the connector under the seat.............

Cheers Mick I have looked under the seat can't see any loose connections it's strange that the seat and steering adjust pack up together it's an intermittent fault but lately they have stopped working full stop.

Do your mirrors work .......... ====================================

Yea they work ok

Try this Self Test .......

Vehicle in Park and driver door open

Hit the seat memory buttom five times

then 2-1-1-2 using the memory preset buttons 1 and 2.

should make seats and mirrors go through complete movments. if motor did not operate at all its a motor or faulty wiring, If suddenly stops loss of feedback position is happening and you can use the test procedures in manual. ====================================

Just tried the test nothing happened

Only other thing i can think of is the ECU ........ ====================================

Found this regarding seat faults.........

SYMPTOMS
Driver's seat does not move but mirrors continue to work ok.
Mirrors no longer function but driver's seat moves ok.


DIAGNOSTIC CHECKLIST
If both seat AND mirrors stop functioning without warning check for blown fuse or other electrical supply problems before condemning ECU.
Don't forget - seat only moves when park selected on gearbox! ====================================

will check to see where fuse is not sure if it's in the fuse box in the boot or in fuse box in the glove box ====================================
