United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Waitomo Grey
No service schedule read out

After 4 years of ownership I've just replaced my 2002 4.4 with a late 2006 facelift SC - loved the old one and it looks like this newer one may be better still! The facelift changed a few things around, but most is still recognisable. The owners manual says that (just like in the last one) I should get a readout of when the next service is due for 5 secs after I first switch the key to pos 1 and if I press the right button within another couple of secs I even get a date. In practice I get neither. Anyone know if is this something that can be switched on/off at the stealers or were the earliest facelift cars released in prototype mode without all the features? Its done 10k since the last properly documented service so I'm sure its OK for a bit, but I'd like to know! Cheers

It can be switched off in the software and maybe the previous owner had that done. A dealer or someone with a Faultmate or one of the other systems can switch it on again. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
