United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

I'm new to this area, so i thought I'd pop into the local and see what's what. Now I'm in the main bar, and rather than just sidling up to the nice bunch sitting in the corner of the pub having a pint a laugh, I thought I'd introduce myself. Mr. Green

Bought my 2005 Vogue 4.4 last November from a second hand dealer. 50,000 miles, full dealer SH, 2 owners and offered with a year's warranty. How could it go wrong?

Quite easily as it turns out. Drove home (North Wales to Sheffield) and BANG! the gearbox went! So, 2 hours of ownership and a major issue. Took it back to the dealer and 5 weeks later got it back with a new torque converter. Had LPG conversion done, now has a 2010 conversion (sweet!).

Outstanding issues? Needs the steering column transducer replacing (got the shakes at 70mph) but I cannot get the rusted bolts off Evil or Very Mad Needs a few bushes on the front suspension sorting (one definitely needs doing but I'd like to replace them all) But again all the bolts are heavily rusted so that's another job.

Otherwise a great car but I'm in the phase of getting it all into best condition for a trouble-free life, so my experience so far has been a bit jaded. However, having owned several TVRs in the past, I'm no stranger to weird problems and large repair bills. The good thing is, it's a big basic car underneath the leather and electrical trimmings, so the basic renovations I need are not hugely expensive at the moment.

Once sorted I hope to keep it for 3-5 years, after which it will almost certainly be a L405 to replace it. So I'm hooked!

Hi All,

I was recommended FFRR by DMRR as a handy source of info about the later Range Rovers, so here I am. Mr. Green

I've just bought a 2003 4.4 Vogue and have spent a few days finding all toys on/in it and I'm sure there's still a few to find.
I'm not new to the Land Rover badge, having previously owned a 109 Series III, three Classic Rangies, a 300 TDI Disco and a 3.9 V8 Disco.
I took a break from the Land Rover badge for a couple of years and ran a Shogun but the parts were expensive and not that easy to fit, plus it was starting to look like a major money pit was about to open, so I sold it and got the L322.

See you all on the forum. Thumbs Up

Martin.

Newbie saying hello..

Hi guys..and gals

I've been lurking around the forum for a few days now so thought it about time i introduced myself...

I'm Steve a Yorkshireman who spends his time mainly in the North East when not working (overseas currently). Just bought myself a FFRR - 2006MY 4.2 SC thats had a few mods (tasteful IMO). I will not get to drive it until the end of the month when back in the UK but in the mean time my brother says he will look after it.... Laughing so its certain to get a good run out.

Will post a couple of pics once i work out how Thumbs Up

Steve
