I currently have the same fault.

According to IIDTool, right front ABS sensor fault.
I think the actual fault message was "You drove the vehicle on the street which caused the Right Front ABS sensor to fail. Your car will now pout and be fussy until you spend money on her. Go buy her something nice."

That might not be the exact fault message, but it's close.

I've ordered a replacement (30USD), which should arrive next week.
I'll have it installed on the weekend.

I know what you mean about the strange movements; since EAS is not "functional", it will LEAP to the setting it wants to see, none of the stately, graceful adjustment, just BANG! and it's there! Jim

After you reconnected the battery did you reset the sterring angle sensor by turning full lock to full lock and back to centre again?? 

Wot Saint v8 said; the light/ message stops on till the steering is turned lock to lock.......

Yes I reset the angle sensor but still get the sus inactive message & the HDC inactive messages. Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue

Time to plug it in and see what codes are showing.... 

I replaced the right front ABS sensor this morning.
30 minutes total.
Jack up car, jack stand, remove road wheel.
disconnect connector, remove clips from cable, allen screw to remove sensor.
apply anti-seize grease to sensor (came with new sensor).
install.
replace road wheel, remove jack stand, lower vehicle.
drive.
All Better!!
$30 USD for the part.
no reset of anything was required, as the system checks for an error on startup.

That may kick it back into action...

I had similar and it turned out to be a dodgy ABS sensor....

The ABS system in connected to the same data bus as the EAS....so a fault in the ABS system usualy freezes the EAS too (annoyingly).

The reason it knocks out the HDC & DSC too, is those two systems also use the ABS sensor information to maintain control down hills and to monitor the traction of all 4 wheels for the DSC.

Getting a diag tool is a fab plan
