It sounds similar to the issues I had, pre-oil/filter change (also the ZF 6 speed). I suggest to do a filter and oil change (probably a dual oil change) and a software update of the gearbox ECU (and other ECUs esp. engine management while you are at it). Just to make sure you have the latest updated version of the software on the ECUs. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Sounds like how mine was going too, some changes were lumpy and not as smooth as they should be.

Suggest to do the megaflush and then change out the filter afterwards, to get all crap out and start with a new filter |

I don't think it will ever be perfect and as new. It smooths out the gear changes.

cheers, I will be happy with it as long as I know it is just a sign of age and not impending explosion and £6,000 leaving my ownership. |

Although it could still be a major issue with the gearbox, it is much more likely to be the oil. I suggest to do the megaflush and filter change soon as and get the gearbox and engine management update done as soon as possible as well. Note that the gearbox and engine managment ECUs communicate with each other as in give each other data that makes them work together more smoothly. So best to get both updated while you are at it.
