2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Giverny Green
seatbelts

hi guys does anybody know if there is a fix for the retraction on the seatbelts?
mine has stopped going back in and its annoying and wondered if there was a repair/fix as mine are green and dont fancy buying new ones
any help appreciated

Clive, update your car profile and you may have more luck my friend... There are probably 15-20 different seat belts through the years in a ff...

Im guessing if they are green you drive an 03/04 Vogue? Take the front "B" pillar trims off and clean the inner runner/plastic slider the seatbelt travels through...

thankyou for your reply yes it is an 02 plate giverney green vogue
its to the point where i have to sit and slide it back in by hand before i get out of the car such a pain i have caught it in the door twice and scratched the paintwork
ill try the slider thankyou very much for your help

I had this issue. A quick fix is use polish (pledge/mr shine) on the guide where it goes into the pillar. Hasn't cured the problem but a lot better untill I get time to strip it properly. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I find that the FFRR seatbelts are very slow to retract at the best of times, but as you've just said Clive, a good spray of furniture polish makes a real difference.
