The last time we bought a tv, I trawled through the reviews and forums here http://www.avforums.com/ and found the advice very useful. |

I got a Samsung UE46D7000 last year, the one with hardly any frame, and can't recommend it enough.

I bought a 51" Samsung plasma and it was terrible. The buzzing from the tv was louder than the tv volume.

We have done away with the TV and installed an Epson Hi-Def projector. Directly on the wall (our walls are white obviously) and it is brilliant.

I have a 50" Panasonic plasma , can't say if it's better than any others but I don't need to heat the room |

I have three 46inch Samsung's and a 55inch Samsung (all the SmartTV one's as previously mentioned by other posters) and they have all been extremely good. Shape, size, weight, picture/sound quality, plug and play ability are all I need.

The heat of the Panasonic is great, reduced my heating bills by 90% |
